Fairmont House Superior Stateroom
I liked the charm, the incredible breakfast and the surroundings. The staff was very nice and satisfied all my requests. Director Blake Edwards and wife actress, Julie Andrews, lived in Carton House over the summer and autumn of 1969 while filming the movie Darling Lili (1970). Rock Hudson, Andrews' co-star also lived on the grounds during filming. The actual house was used in the movie in several interior and exterior scenes. They were totally overwhelmed as it appeared that breakfast and tea was being brought from a different location in hotel. Still no tea and drank my husband's glass of water.
